I bought this to compliment my tube amp’s overdrive channel. I have another fuzz pedal. I am still getting used to it, mut it is well made, and the sound is not too bad, probably will be very good when i have played with it a bit more and got it exactly where i want it.

This unit is well made and works faultlessly, offering a wide range of usable tones. I will be learning how to use it for some time. One thing i noticed very quickly is that this pedal is best suited to a clean channel. It will produce a satisfactory natural sounding distorted tone from clean. Using it to further boost an overdriven channel is not so easy. Cascading with other pedals may also be difficult. However, if you are at a jam or open mic and having to use a very clean amp this unit would probably give you all the marshall, 5150 etc. You need.
At this price you can’t go wrong. I have had a ‘real’ rat in the past. The king rat compares very well.
